LOWA are always looking for ways to improve and utilise new technology in their footwear and their newest military boots are a reflection of this. Available to buy soon the newest LOWA military boots will be replacing some old classics. The boots that will be replaced with new and improved models are:

Combat Boot (Replaced By Combat MK2 GTX®)

A popular LOWA classic, the Combat Boot has been the military boot of choice for over 20 years thanks to its legendary fit, comfort and durability in any terrain or weather conditions. The new Combat Boot MK2 maintains the key qualities of the original LOWA combat boot, including a full grain leather finish, Gore-Tex® protection and unrivalled comfort & fit, however the new boot benefits from the following upgrades:

AS® Technology: Ankle shield technology that features a 3mm thick circle of shock-absorbing poron® material that sits underneath the upper material. This enhanced support provides additional EN ISO 20347:2012 certification, ensuring ultimate comfort and protection whilst helping to prevent injury.

Rayflect® Technology: Special treatment applied to full grain leather uppers to prevent these LOWA military boots from heating up excessively. The treatment works by reflecting the sun’s thermal radiation in order to keep boots cool, and wearers comfortable.

Vibram® Vanguard Sole: Highly slip-resistant rubber outsole, with resistance to heat, oil, fuel and cold to perform in a wide range of challenging terrains.

Dual-Density PU Midsole: Dual density sole construction for underfoot support and shock absorption. Technical midsole with additional arch support.

2-Zone Lacing System: new closed hooks and locking loops with integrated lace holster on the tongue.

Robust One-Piece Upper Construction: No stitching on the bottom part of these LOWA military boots to optimise durability, supported by adapted toe and heel rubber protection.

Compatible For Use With Specific Orthotics: As part of LOWA’s collaboration with Bauerfeind®, these new LOWA combat boots can be worn with specific orthotics from Lowa’s partner supplier.

Mountain Boot (Replaced By Breacher Mid GTX®)

The fully waterproof LOWA Mountain Boot is popular with military personnel, Police officers and hikers alike. LOWA’s design team have ensured that the Breacher Mid GTX® Boot which is replacing the Mountain Boot offers the same superb all-round use, and exceptional durability and waterproof features. These are the key features ensuring the new Breacher is a practical upgrade for the original Mountain Boot:

AS® & Rayflect® Technology: Benefiting from the same ankle shield and Rayflect® technology as the new LOWA combat boots. Shock absorbing poron® sits underneath the upper materials, and specially treated uppers reflect thermal radiation to keep the boots cool.

Vibram® Vanguard Sole: Heat and cold insulation, with outsole resistance to oil, fuel and hot contact. A rubber outsole with exceptional anti-slip properties.

Highly Breathable Upper Construction: Hydrophobic tear-resistant full grain  leather with abrasion resistant and breathable Cordura® insert.

Modern Midsole Design: arch support and fast-roping area on medial side, with dual density sole construction to enhance underfoot support and shock absorption.

Improved Lacing System: 2-zone lacing system with closed hooks, locking loops and integrated lace holster. Comfort & fit supported by back loop to assist with putting these LOWA military boots on efficiently.

Patrol Boot (Replaced By Breacher Mid)

Another great all-round pair of LOWA military boots, the LOWA Patrol Boot functions as a hard wearing military and combat boot, benefitting from full grain leather uppers, however with a Cambrelle® hardwearing lining as opposed to the Gore-Tex® lining used on the LOWA Mountain Boots. The Patrol Boot will be replaced by the Breacher Mid which features enhanced technical properties to provide a military boot that is even more exceptional in performance, comfort and durability.

The Breacher Mid benefits from all the same features as the Breacher MID GTX but doesn’t feature Gore-Tex® and instead benefits from a very abrasion resistant and exceptionally breathable fabric lining. The fabric cuff area also means the boot offers even more breathability than the Breacher Mid GTX.

Zephyr (Replaced By Zephyr MK II)

The popular LOWA Zephyr will be replaced by a new and improved version - The Zephyr MK II. Enhancing and improving on the features of the original Zephyr, these new LOWA military boots benefit from a more durable construction with new upper, lacing and sole technology. Key features of the Zephyr MK II include:

Monowrap® Exoskeleton Frame: Adapted exoskeleton frame with sharper, more modern design featuring added toe protection.

X-Trac Military Sole: Highly slip-resistance rubber outsole with heat and cold insulation and resistance to fuel and oil.

Double-Injection Sole Construction: Dual layer midsole that’s heat and cold insulating with a harder frame to enhance protection/support and a softer midsole to improve shock absorption.

Higher Tear Resistance On Uppers: Hydrophobic, tear-resistant split leather in combination with very abrasion-resistant CORDURA® fabric create the durable uppers of these LOWA military boots.

Bigger Heel Loops & Integrated Lace Holster: Greater efficiency when putting the boots on, and support enhanced by new 2-zone lacing system with integrated lace holster on tongue and locking loops.
